Sheli Murphy (co-investigator)

Sheli Murphy has been a registered nurse with over 40 years of experience in a variety of health care settings. She is a strong advocate for research and collaborative practice. In regard to research she strongly believes the cornerstone to better, more sustainable care is in moving evidence to practice and closing the research-practice gaps. She is dedicated to moving the vision and mission of Covenant Health forward, which includes using evidence to provide people centered, holistic care in diverse settings. Working her whole career in Alberta, she has held various positions from staff nurse to CNO to VP of a large urban hospital and now as the Senior Operating Officer for Covenant Health, Rural Health, Professional Practice, Research and Libraries. She has received a double Master’s from University of Phoenix, MBA and MScN and her PhD in Administration and Leadership from Greenleaf University. She live in Edmonton with her husband and they enjoy travel to faraway places.
